![]() ![]() I was a regular grape seed extract user but never thought it could have an interaction with K2. I noticed that I also had very strong pulse when I took a grape seed extract (526 mg) containing 95% OPC (500 mg) on the same day (6-12 hours before or after K2 MK4 consumption). With 3 drops at once, I had disturbingly increased heart rate and strong pulse although the blood pressure was normal. With 2 drops at once, I felt increased heart rate for 1-2 hours but it was tolerable. I took 1 drop and didn't have side effects. I bought the Thorne K2 liquid (1 mg per drop). I've decided to try K2 MK4 as it quickly goes into tissues and doesn't stay in the blood for long time. I trashed all the K2 MK7 stuff into the bin. Indeed, it quickly made me feel dizzy in the head again and increased my blood pressure. ![]() I took a single capsule containing 200 ug of K2 MK7 from another brand to make sure that K2 MK7 was causing the problem. The next day the blood pressure went down to normal (105 mmHg / 69 mmHg). The systolic was 120 mmHg and the diastolic was 105 mmHg! I quit using all the supplements. Only 3 weeks later, I again felt an increase in my blood pressure. ![]() I started taking the same D3/K2 MK7 capsules again 5 months ago. At some point, the hectic work routine was over and incidentally I also quit using the supplements, after which I stopped having chest pains/cardiovascular problems. At that time I was working hard for long hours to finish a PhD so I thought it had to be related to working too much. ![]() The chest pains were so intense that I thought I was gonna have heart attack. After 1 month of usage, I started having severe chest pains, increased heart rate and high blood pressure. But I found a lot of useful discussions about K2 MK4 on this forum, so I'd like to share my story and help those who might have similar issues.Ī few years ago I started supplementing daily with D3/K2 (MK7) (100 ug / 75 ug) capsules along with some other supplements. I'm 29 year old and don't have osteoporosis. ![]()
